DISTRICT LEVEL GROUP SONG COMPEITITION
On 22nd September,2014 District Level Group Song Competition for Boys was organized by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi at SKV No-2, Kalkaji, New Delhi. Sixteen students of general wing participated and bagged the first position under the able guidance of Mrs. Sonal Rastogi, Music Teacher.
OZONE QUIZ
Three students of class-XII (Science), viz. Master Aashish Tyagi, Km. Priya Setia and Master Vishwaraj Sharma participated in Ozone Quiz, organized by TERI at India Habitat NB Centre, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi on 29th August,2011.
GLASS PAINTING COMPETITION
On 20th August,2011, the Rana Pratap House organized an Inter House Glass and Leaf Painting Competition for various classes in the school. Eighteen special need children participated in Leaf Painting and 30 participated in Glass Coaster event.
SCIENCE QUIZ
Inter House Science Quiz based on EVS for special need children was organized on 27th August,2011 in the Savitri Devi Auditorium of the School as part of Science Month. On the same day, Science Model and Craft Work Activity were also organized.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION
The Science Exhibition for classes VI to VIII was held on 27th August,2011. Sixty nine students of general wing and four students of special wing participated in it. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman Admiral R.H. Tahiliani. Gp.Capt. Bahri, Shri A.K.Tripathi, Smt. Deepa Misra and Smt. Geeta Mallick,Co-Ordinator(SW) also graced the occasion. They appreciated the hard work of the students.
INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENTS FOR INDIAN SCHOOLS – 2011
The Educational Assessment Australia in collaboration with Macmillan Publishers India Ltd conducted ‘International Assessments for Indian Schools-2011. Our 164 students from classes III to XII participated in this test. The assessments were held on 25-26 August,2011 covering the various subjects like Mathematics, Science, English and Computer Skills.
GREEN OLYMPIAD-2011
The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) – an organization working for the awareness about caring for our environment, conducted the Green Olympiad-2011 on 27th August,2011 in our School. The purpose of this Olympiad was to promote environment education which forms an integral part of school, society and life. Our 97 students from classes VIII to X appeared for this test focusing on the latest information regarding environmental issues in India and the world.
IT COMPETITION
Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya, K.G. Marg, New Delhi hosted Dewang Mehta Memorial Inter School IT Competition on 10th August,2011. Nine students of our school participated in various activities viz. champion league, digital collage etc. All students were awarded participation certificates.
Bhajan Competition
An Integrated Bhajan Singing Competition was organized by Rag Ragini Trust on 13th April,2011 at Amar Jyoti School, Karkardooma. Sixteen teams from various schools participated in this competition. Thirteen students from our school participated in it and bagged the third position.
ISKCON GEETA SAAR CONTEST
The Iskcon Geet Saar Contest was conducted in the School on 19th January,2011 which helped our students in enriching their knowledge about Hindu mythologies and their teachings. About 300 students of middle classes participated.
DRAWING COMPETITION
On 8th July,2011, National Level Drawing Competition for Pre Primary Wing was conducted in the School which was organized by Kalabharti Child Art Development Institute, Pune. Fifty Eight students of class PREP took part in it. The gracious presence of Shri A.K.Tripathi, Principal and Smt. Deepa Misra, Vice Principal encouraged the tiny tots.
POSTER MAKING COMPETITION
A Poster Making Competition was organized by the SAARC Disaster Management Institute in the month of July-2011. The theme of the competition was “Save My Future”. Six paintings have been shortlisted from our school and were sent to final selection. These paintings will be displayed at an exhibition in Bangkok.
CHINMAYA YOUTH FESTIVAL
Chinmaya Mission, New Delhi organized various events during the Chinmaya Youth Festival-2011 on the topic “Seva – The Spirit of Service”. Our students participated in various events and some of them bagged prizes after competing with 15-18 renowned public schools of Delhi. The details are as under :-
A). Chanting of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta & Chanting of Shri Hanuman Chalisa – These events were held on 25th July,2011. Fourteen students participated and the performance of our children was appreciated by Swami Nikhilanand.
B). Quiz Competitiion – It was held on 26th July,2011. Three students participated.
C). Power Point Presentation – This was held on 27th July,2011. It is heartening to mention that Master Aashish Tyagi (XII-Sc.) and Master Vishwaraj Sharma (XII-Sc) brought laurels to the school by winning the first prize.
D).Turn Coat Debate –This event was held on 29th July, 2011. Km. Suvidha Jani (XII-Hum.) participated and won the first prize.
E).Poster Making Competition – It was held on 29th July,2011. Six students participated in it.
F).Visual Clipping on ‘Seva’ – It was held on 29th July, 2011 and ten students participated in this event.
